MONROE, La.– is highlighting enrollmentgrowthin key areas for the Fall 2025 semester.Undergraduate enrollment in the College of Health Sciencesrose4.75%compared to Fall 2024. Within the College of Health Sciences, graduate programs increased9%,boosted by anadditionalcohortin the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and theinaugural class of theOccupational Therapy Doctorateprogram.Graduate enrollment university-wide rose 11%,while overall student headcount increased by about one percentage point.
Many degree programs saw a double-digit percentage increase in enrollment,such as Management, Marketing, Social Work,Education, Music, Atmospheric Science, Toxicology, and Construction Management.
“In my first semester as president of , there is an excitementamong the studentsonour campus.The energy is palpable as a new generation of Warhawks undertake an educational journey that will change their lives,” said President Dr. Carrie L. Castille. “Theseenrollmentincreases in key areas show that we are leading the way in preparingour students for in-demand jobs in healthcare, business,and beyond.”
The Honors Program saw a 10% increase in enrollment over Fall 2024, including the second-largestfreshmanclass in its history.
Thenumberof students living on campus has increased as well, with campus residence halls at 93% capacity, continuing to rebound each year since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
“We know that continued growth is possible,and we are hopeful for increases in the coming years. Our recruitersare inhighschoolsthroughoutLouisiana and the surrounding states,tellingstudents about the qualityand affordability of a education.I’vevisited schools myself and hosted high school students on campus.The future is bright andI’mconfident that ’s best days are ahead,” said Castille.
