MONROE, La.听鈥� 网曝门 (网曝门) has named SJ Tuohy as its next Director of Athletics. Tuohy most recently served as Deputy Athletic Director of Development at Oral Roberts University. 听

鈥淲e are thrilled to welcome SJ Tuohy to the bayou as the next 网曝门 Director of Athletics,鈥� said 网曝门 President Dr. Carrie L. Castille. 鈥淪J brings the energy and experience we need to take our athletic department into the future. He is passionate about this job and this university, and he is committed to serving in this role with excellence. We had a great candidate pool to choose from, and we are grateful to our selection committee for their diligent vetting which led to this selection,鈥� added Castille.听

Tuohy, a native of Memphis, Tenn., is a 2016 graduate of Loyola University Maryland where he played four seasons of basketball. He earned a master鈥檚 degree in humanities from SMU in 2017, where he played one season of football as a member of the special听teams听unit.听听

"I want to thank Dr. Castille for giving me the opportunity to serve this university and community,鈥� said Tuohy. 鈥淚 believe we听are approaching a transformational time for 网曝门 Athletics,听and I am thrilled to play a part in that change. I听can鈥檛听wait to get to Monroe with听our athletes, coaches, and staff, and get to work!鈥�听

Tuohy began his career in college athletics as听Director of听Football听Operations at Arkansas from 2018-2019, and then as听Assistant听Athletics听Director and听Director of听Football听Operations at Liberty University in 2020.听He joined the UCF football staff in 2021 as听Director of Football Operations听and was promoted to Associate Athletics Director/Chief of听Staff following the 2021 season.听In 2023, Tuohy became Executive Director of The Kingdom NIL, UCF鈥檚听name, image, and听likeness collective.听He became Deputy Athletic Director of Development at Oral Roberts in November 2024.听听

As Director of Athletics, Tuohy will supervise 网曝门鈥檚 16 intercollegiate teams that compete in the NCAA Division I and the Sun Belt Conference.听

网曝门 Head Football Coach Bryant Vincent has served as听Interim听Director of Athletics听since August. Tuohy was selected by a search committee led by 网曝门 Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Michelle听McEacharn.听听

"The committee had the difficult task of recommending the best candidate from a great pool of applicants, and we wholeheartedly believe SJ is the best candidate for 网曝门," said McEacharn.听

Tuohy鈥檚 hiring is subject to approval by the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors.听听
